🏺 Moka Pot (Stovetop Espresso)

Perfect for: Bold, rich espresso-style coffee

You’ll Need:

  • Don Matias Italian Moka Pot
  • Freshly ground medium-fine coffee
  • Filtered water

Steps:

  1. Fill the bottom chamber with hot water (up to the valve).
  2. Add coffee grounds to the filter basket—don’t tamp.
  3. Assemble the pot and place it on medium heat.
  4. When you hear a gurgle, your espresso is ready.
  5. Pour and enjoy straight or add steamed milk.

Pro Tip: Preheat your mug for a café-quality experience.


☕ Pour Over

Perfect for: Clean, aromatic brews with flavor clarity

You’ll Need:

  • V60, Chemex, or Kalita Wave
  • Gooseneck kettle
  • Medium grind coffee
  • Filtered water at ~200°F

Steps:

  1. Rinse the filter to remove paper taste.
  2. Add coffee grounds (1:16 ratio is a great start).
  3. Pour a small amount of water to “bloom” (wait 30 sec).
  4. Continue pouring in slow circles.
  5. Total brew time: 2:30–3:00 minutes.

Pro Tip: Use a scale to stay consistent and hit the sweet spot.


💨 French Press

Perfect for: Full-bodied, rich, and easy morning brews

You’ll Need:

  • French press
  • Coarse grind coffee
  • Hot water (~200°F)

Steps:

  1. Add coffee to the carafe (1:12 coffee-to-water ratio).
  2. Pour hot water evenly, stir gently.
  3. Let it steep for 4 minutes.
  4. Press the plunger slowly.
  5. Pour and enjoy.

Pro Tip: Let your coffee rest for 30 seconds before plunging to reduce grit.
